INTERNATIONAL DIVISION

The International Division handles all manner of diverse and niche business products produced by our many agents around the world.  Particular emphasis is focused on commercial and industrial fire business. As an example, our portfolio currently includes the following classes:-

Woodworkers
Plastics
Nightclubs
Cotton Gins
Recyclers/Waste Products
Unoccupied/Court Administered Premises
Beach Front Hotels
Cold Stores/Composite panel risks
Hypermarkets
Firework/Explosives manufacturers and storage

Geographically this mixed portfolio is mainly generated from France, Belgium, Greece, Spain and Northern Europe, but also extends to include, Central and South America, the old Eastern Bloc territories and more distant territories such as Tahiti and La Reunion.

In addition to our basic book of commercial and industrial fire business, we also place some motor, contingency, public liability and other specialised lines of business.

Where price is not necessarily the most sensitive issue based on an individual risk's product lines, quality of risk or previous loss experience, the objective has always been to secure 100% capacity on either a full value or first loss basis. We strive to offer reasonable terms from quality security, which can be relied upon to meet claims, both in a fair and timely fashion.

We place several Binding Authorities into Lloyd’s, which rely on local Coverholders accepting business on behalf of nominated Underwriters. These Coverholders must be able to demonstrate that they have a source of local business that they feel could be ceded to such a facility.

We have a French Property/Business Interruption line-slip facility used exclusively for our producing agents where we can offer up to EUR10,000,000 with 100% capacity. This limit can be based either on full values, loss limits or on PML/SMP exposures.

We openly welcome any enquiries to be forwarded to us by email. Should this be only on the basis of an initial enquiry containing basic underwriting information, we can still offer an indication of terms and in some cases obtain a quotation from Underwriters pending receipt of a full and satisfactory submission. We have available upon request a risk evaluation questionnaire in both English and French that once completed would allow us to approach Underwriters on your behalf.

We set ourselves the discipline of a maximum turnaround time of 48 hours to provide an indication of terms and because we are a relatively small team, we pride ourselves in offering a personable and friendly service to our Clients.
